The spring trip has been planned for Myrtle Beach, SC where the bands will compete in the Fiesta-Val Music Festival. Departure is scheduled for Wednesday, April 21 at 3:00pm and return arrival for 6:00pm on Sunday, April 25. This trip has been approved and sanctioned by FCPS and Oakton High School and all teachers will be notified well in advance of departure.
In order to plan and manage this trip, it is necessary to adhere to the payment plan as scheduled. Once the deposit is made, the commitment to the remainder of the total cost, either through payments or accrued “points”, becomes a financial commitment to be paid in full by the final deadline. It is not our policy to “price” students out of the program or out of the trips. If there are extenuating circumstances with preclude a family from making this financial commitment, a reasonable plan can be developed with the band boosters to relieve the burden as much as possible. A limited number of scholarships are also available. Please contact the directors if such a need exists.

October 1: $150 Deposit (non-refundable) *
November 1: $200
December 1: $100
February 1: $100
March 1: $200
The total cost of the trip is $750. This covers all transportation costs, equipment truck rental, housing accommodations, festival fees, chaperones, medical staff, some meals and any venue costs.
* Your deposit serves as a commitment to continue with all payments. Accomodations and transportation will be booked immediately after October 15.
There will be NO refunds after the December payment.
