How to Order
There are multiple ways to place an order:
- Download the Citrus Order Form to see current items and prices and order directly from your favorite band student or complete and email the form or call 703-860-2953 to place an order - pay with cash or check at pick up
- Order online and pay at pick up with cash or check
Order as many times as you like, as many ways as you like. We appreciate every order!
The fruit is delivered to Oakton High School usually on a Saturday morning
How does this benefit the students?
In addition to raising funds for Oakton's outstanding band program, citrus sales provide credits to students to help with band expenses. Students receive 2.5 credits for each large box (4/5 bushel) sold, and 2 credits for each smaller box sold. When you place your citrus order, be sure to designate the band student who should receive the credit.
How can I help?
- By selling fruit! Some schools have one or two very large sales which puts more pressure on everyone to sell alot of fruit. At Oakton High School we conduct more frequent, smaller sales, but we still have to sell a minimum amount each time to place an order with the distributor. Also, each delivery requires many volunteers whether it's a small or large order. Help make it worth the effort - every order helps!
- By volunteering on delivery day. On those days we will be in need of parent and student volunteers to unload the truck, organize boxes and help customers. The deliveries are scheduled for Saturday mornings.
